Tenedle is a contemporary songwriter and his music is a personal universe.Over the years he has participated in several Prizes gaining recognition both in Italy and in the Netherlands. Tenedle presents his live performances based on electronic sound and visua ls with some acoustic moments and theatrical hints. While working as a recording engineer in Amer ica in the 1980’s and 90’s on multi-platinum projects for other bands\ , Andrew amassed a body of his own unreleased synthpop and electronic post -punk work that languished in storage for decades. In 2019 Andrew connecte d with Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark’s Malcolm Holmes and Berlin tec hno guru Mark Reeder (of Factory Records and MFS Records fame) to finally bring his music to light\, resulting in a series of singles and the debut album Communication\, released on Believe and conzoom Records. So while in one sense Birmingham Electric’s dancey and groove-laden music is an aut hentic time capsule from another era\, it is also informed by and updated with a modern electronic sensibility.The band’s second full-length album \, Terra Incognita\, is well underway now and due for release sometime in 2025.Birmingham Electric is a dynamic live act as well\, playing festivals and clubs across Europe and the UK.
